6 County teams in prep poll

POLL RESULTS

The latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school basketball poll is out and six Calhoun County teams have made the grade.

After its victory over it Tuesday night, Saks has jumped over White Plains in the Class 4A boys poll. Saks remained at No. 4, while White Plains has slipped to No. 6. Once-beaten Cherokee County remains No. 1 in the classification.

Meanwhile, Alexandria is No. 10 in Class 5A, while Sacred Heart is No. 5 in Class 1A.

On the girls’ side, Jacksonville is No. 3 in Class 5A, while Anniston is No. 7 in Class 5A. they are the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds in the upcoming Calhoun County Tournament.
