Tyler Johnson wasted little time getting Faith Christian on the board Tuesday and once the Lions scored, they never stopped.
Johnson scored eight seconds into the match and finished with three goals and two assists as the Lions routed Temple (Ga.) High School, 9-1.
Both of Johnson’s assists were on goals by Josiah McDaniel, who also had three goals and two assists (both on Johnson goals).
Daniel Clark, Daniel Yim and Coby Booth scored the Lions’ other goals. Ryan Crosby, Zach Gattrell and Beau Conley all recorded assists.
The Lions (4-0-0), ranked No. 10 in the state (1A-3A), play Sacred Heart Thursday as a tuneup for the Yellow Jacket Invitational Friday and Saturday.
