Tang, Poe have big nights for Jacksonville

Golden Eagles beat Sylacauga in their final regular-season home match

JACKSONVILLE — Cindee Tang scored four goals and Virginia Poe had two goals and three assists as Jacksonville’s second-ranked girls soccer team slammed Sylacauga 8-2 in its final regular-season home game of the year.
Haleigh Rutledge and Hannan Rhodes scored the Lady Golden Eagles’ other goals. Elizabeth Poe had two assists.
Matti Lowery was the winning keeper. She made two saves and allowed a goal and a penalty kick.
Jacksonville (14-4) plays its final regular-season game 5:30 p.m. tonight at Oxford.
