Anniston earns first victory

Bulldogs rally from fourth-quarter deficit with 24 unanswered points; Heard goes for 174 yards

It was a game someone was going to get its first victory and Anniston saved its best for last.

The Bulldogs erupted for 24 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and pulled away from a close game to beat Lincoln 37-14.

Edward Montgomery had two of the fourth-quarter touchdowns and L.J. Heard closed the scoring a 75-yard run, his second touchdown of the game.

Heard rushed for 174 yards on 19 carries. Montgomery rushed for 52 yards on six carries.

Hakeem Ross gave the Bulldogs a 13-7 lead in the first quarter when caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Tae Miller. Ross finished with three catches for 62 yards.

Brashaud Harris led the Anniston defense with 15 tackles.
