Talladega uses big fourth quarter to snap losing streak

TALLADEGA — Talladega got back on the winning track after dropping its previous two games, beating Talladega County Central Saturday 69-41.
The Tigers outscored TCC 29-5 in the fourth quarter, hitting 10 of 12 field goal attempts, to pull away.
They had lost second-half leads each of the previous two nights in losing at Lincoln and Anniston.
Jay Smoot and Ashton Duncan each scored 15 in the win. They combined for 15 in the fourth quarter. Smoot also had nine rebounds in the game.
Jae-lyn Russ had 10 points, two blocks and seven rebounds. Waderrius Tuck had seven steals and Fred Dickerson dealt four assists.
