Prep basketball poll

Anniston’s boys, riding a seven-game winning streak since losing their season opener, broke into the ASWA prep basketball rankings this week — at No. 7 in Class 5A.
Sacred Heart remains No. 1 in 1A boys. Jacksonville (No. 5 4A) and Pleasant Valley (No. 10 3A) remain in the girls poll. The next poll is out Jan. 13.
The Bulldogs put their new ranking on display today against Cherokee County, the No. 5 in Class 4A, in the Coosa River Classic at Childersburg.
