Oxford 4-star linebacker prospect Kenney Britt reports being “good” after the truck he was driving Thursday was rear-ended by a driver on Highway 78.
Britt reported his status on social media. He was stopped at a red light with two passengers, including his younger brother, when the vehicle was struck.
“Everything OK,” Britt later told EA Sports Today.
All the Oxford coaches contacted Thursday anticipate Britt and his passengers to make a full recovery.
“It was a very, very brutal impact,” Jackets defensive coordinator Darrell Cline said after returning from visiting the family at the hospital. “It could’ve been worse.
“I told Kenney 24 hours ago we were on the lake talking a little fishing and now we’re sitting up in the emergency room. You just never know.”
Britt is holding more than 30 scholarship offers from some of the top football programs in the country. He is expected to make his commitment the first week in August.
“I’m good everybody,” Britt said in his tweet. “Thanks for the prayers. God truly had us in his hands.”
