Pleasant Valley, White Plains bounce back from weekend losses to post victories

The Pleasant Valley and White Plains volleyball teams both bounced back from losses in their final matches of the Donoho Classic with victories Monday night.
White Plains lost a tough match to Faith Christian in the Silver Bracket final Saturday, but bounced back to win an equally intense area opener over Hokes Bluff 25-17, 26-24, 25-19.
PV suffered its first loss of the season in Donoho’s Gold Bracket semifinals, but bounced back Monday to beat Ohatchee 25-6, 25-9, 25-10. The Lady Raiders are 24-1.
Savannah Williams had five kills, nine assists and served at 100 percent. Cammy Cochran had six kills, 11 digs and four aces. Anna Bryant had seven aces, seven assists and three blocks. Mikayla Kendrick had four kills and four blocks.
Landry Bussey had six kills, two blocks and three digs for White Plains (12-9). Destani Alvarado had six kills, four digs; Ryleigh Randall 27 assists, four kills, five digs; Isabella Pinto 18 digs and Korie Burgess 14 digs.
