Here are the state tournament brackets for 1A, 4A, 5A, 6A, the classes involving Calhoun County teams (with poll)

BIRMINGHAM — Six of the 10 Calhoun County teams that made the volleyball super regionals made it to the Elite 8 that gets underway Wednesday.
Two teams from the same area – Donoho and Sacred Heart – made it into the Class 1A field. The next time they could meet is in Thursday’s state championship match.
Jacksonville and Saks don’t have to wait that long. The two teams, 10 miles apart, play each other in the opening round of the Class 4A bracket. It’s the first time they will play this year.
“I thought about calling (Saks coach) Randy (Law) and just seeing if he wanted to play it here tomorrow evening if he wanted; just stay here,” Jacksonville coach David Clark said. “We played them every time we turned around last year because they were in our area. We ran into them in the (area) tournament, we played them again in the 3-4 game in the Super Regional, so we played them a bunch.
“I thought there was a chance (they’d play in Birmingham). When I knew they were going south I thought there was a chance. It’s just funny how it works out sometimes.”
Alexandria and Oxford also are in the field.
