Ashville rallies past PV

Raiders start fast, but slow in the second half as Ashville’s Williams gets hot

ASHVILLE – Pleasant Valley got off to a fast start behind Reid Hightower, but D’Angelo Williams heated up in the second half and helped Ashville rally for a 69-50 victory Tuesday night.
Williams scored 18 of his game-high 28 points in the third quarter to key the Bulldogs’ second-half rally. He hit eight baskets in a 26-point Ashville third quarter that erased a five-point PV halftime lead.
Hightower scored 12 of his 16 points in the first quarter as the Raiders jumped out to a 21-14 lead. The Raiders were held to only 17 points in the second half.
