The Wildcats trailed by six after the first quarter but a McGuirk 3-pointer at the buzzer gave them a five-point halftime lead.
“It was just a danged January road win,” White Plains coach Chris Randall said. “Every bucket felt like a touchdown.”
Among Carr’s big plays late in the game were a steal and dunk, bouncing a ball off a defenders back and turning it into a layup, and going back up with a missed free throw.
“It was Macey making plays in the fourth quarter that made the difference,” Randall said. “He was what we thought he’d be all year. We didn’t shoot it great tonight, but we guarded like champs. We won it because of our effort defensively.”
