Here’s a weekly statistical update on players from in and around Calhoun County playing professional baseball this summer
Jackson Stephens (Reds-AAA): Threw his second career shutout Sunday and first in Triple-A, a seven-inning, complete-game against Columbus. He gave up seven hits and struck out three.
Zach Lovvorn (Royals-AA): Had a no-decision against Arkansas May 16. He gave up five runs on seven hits.
Chase Whitley (Rays-AL): Threw three innings against his former team, the Yankees, on May 20 — his longest outing of the year. He gave up a hit and struck out three.
Shed Long (Reds-A): Had three hits against Tampa May 20. Hitting .359 in his last 10 games.
Todd Cunningham (Cardinals-AAA): Hitless in his last five games. He’s one for his last 21 after a 3-for-4 game against El Paso on May 13.
