LeCroy closes with a 75 in State Boys; Dyar, Borders open Women’s Four-Ball with a 71

SCOTTSBORO – Jacob LeCroy shot a final-round 75 Thursday and finished at 1-under-par 215 to tie for 24th in the State Boys Junior Championship at Goose Pond Colony.
The Donoho junior got off to a rocky start for the second day in a row – 3-over after two holes – but played the last 16 holes in even par.
Padraic Sim of Spanish Fort birdied his final two holes to complete an 8-under 64 Thursday and won the title by two shots over J.P. Cave of Mobile, who also shot 64 in the final round. Sim shot 14-under 202 for the championship.
Layne Dyar and Chloe Borders shot 1-over 73 and are currently second, two shots off the lead, in the 10th Alabama Women’s Four-Ball at GlenLakes GC in Foley. Alexis Berger and Ashton Maddaloni shot 71 to lead the Championship Flight.
Dyar and Borders, Jax State teammates, started their round bogey-birdie-bogey, then played their final 15 holes in even par.
