Pleasant Valley, Ohatchee go 1-2 in both 1A-4A races at Scottsboro Invitational; Volunteer Spirit Classic results

SCOTTSBORO – Pleasant Valley and Ohatchee finished 1-2 in both the boys and girls Class 1A-4A races in the Scottsboro Invitational
PV’s girls placed the next four runners behind Rogers race winner Jaycee Biffle and won going away with 25 points.
Biffle won in 21:28.34, but PV’s Trinity Roberts, Eva Bryant, Kaylee Austin and Juliana Ballew came across 25 seconds apart. Gracie Hood was the Lady Raiders’ fifth counter, finishing 12th overall.
Ohatchee’s Jayda Fair and Brittany Caywood both finished in the top 10.
Westbrook Christian had two of the top three runners in the boys race, led by race winner Mitchell Cook (17:18.30), but Pleasant Valley placed four runners among the top 18 counters to take team honors. The Raiders were led across the line by sixth-place finisher Cayden Nelson.
Ohatchee’s Gabe Hammonds (fourth) and Blake Noah (eighth) both finished in the top 10. Anniston’s Christian Myles was 10th overall.
