Piedmont, Ohatchee both played basketball doubleheaders Wednesday, here are results and highlights

HOKES BLUFF – T.J. Fairs scored eight of his 13 points in the third quarter when Piedmont took the lead and Alex Odam scored 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to keep it out front in an eventual 59-53 victory over Hokes Bluff.
Carl Myers also scored 13 and grabbed seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (19-3). Delo Foster scored six points, but grabbed 13 rebounds, dished four assists and blocked six shots.
Fairs’ big quarter helped the Bulldogs turn a 26-23 halftime deficit into a 42-35 lead. Odam was 5-for-7 from the line in the fourth quarter.
Hayden Lipscomb led Hokes Bluff with 17 points. Donovan Greaves had 13, all in the first half.
The Eagles, who hit 13 3-pointers in their win over White Plains on Monday, hit eight from behind the arc against the Bulldogs.
In the girls game, Piedmont cut a 16-point deficit to one in the fourth quarter but couldn’t get the bucket to take a lead and fell to Hokes Bluff 41-35.
The Lady Bulldogs (10-11) trailed 19-3 after the first quarter, but fought back and made it a 33-32 lead with 5:41 to play. Hokes Bluff’s Maddie Smith hit a 3-pointer to quell the threat and the Lady Eagles hit 5-of-6 free throws down the stretch.
Sydney Prater hit a free throw and Zhayla Walker’s basket were Piedmont’s only points after making it a one-point game.
Kayley Kirk led Piedmont with 21 points on 8-of-22 shooting with three 3-pointers. Prater was held to six points, but grabbed 10 rebounds and had four steals.

OHATCHEE SWEPT BY COOSA CHRISTIAN
GADSDEN – Evan Delp scored 21 of his 37 points in the second half as Coosa Christian dumped Ohatchee 70-58.
Noah Davidson hit three of the Conquerors’ 10 3-pointers in the first quarter as they opened their Senior Day game with a 17-10 lead.
Evan Keller led Ohatchee with 22 points; he scored 13 in the fourth quarter. Bayley Tillison scored 10 of his 12 in the first half.
In the girls game, Claire Davidson scored 11 of her 20 points in the first half and India Brown had 17 as Coosa Christian’s girls pulled away for a 50-39 victory.
Brown scored 14 of her points in the middle two quarters as the Lady Conquerors pulled away from a 14-10 first-quarter lead. Tori Vice led Ohatchee with 22 points. She scored 10 in the fourth quarter.
