Oxford splits with two out-of-state teams in the Juanita Boddie Tournament

HOOVER – The Oxford volleyball team split two pool matches with out-of-state opponents in the Juanita Boddie Tournament Friday night.
The Lady Yellow Jackets dropped a 25-15, 25-13 match to Memphis Houston and then defeated Tate 26-24, 25-21.
Tanyia McDonald and Aumaria Lindsey both had seven kills. McDonald also had eight digs. Shania Vincent had six kills and six digs. Lakijah Brown had four kills and two digs. Brittany Davis had three digs and an ace. Aametria Wilson had five digs. And Cadie Burn had 24 assists, four aces and four digs.
The Lady Jackets (3-1) open Saturday play at 9 a.m. against Hartselle.
