Oxford’s Vincent wins two events in Saturday’s final day of the indoor track state championship

BIRMINGHAM – Oxford’s Shania Vincent won the Class 6A girls 400 and 60 Saturday to highlight the second day of the state indoor track championship at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Vincent won the 400 in 58.64 and the 60 in 7.80.
On the boys’ side, Oxford’s Javon Glenn finished second in the Class 6A boys 400 (50.55) and 60 hurdles (8.78).
Ryker Lambright, who anchored Ohatchee’s record-setting 4×200 relay the day before, finished second in the Class 1A-3A boys 60 by a margin of 0.001 seconds. He was timed at 7.187 to the 7.186 of winner Arrick Gibbs of Cottage Hill.
The Oxford girls finished in a four-way tie for eighth in the Class 6A girls team standings. Alexandria was tied for 10thand White Plains was tied for 18thin the 4A-5A girls standings. Ohatchee was 13thand Piedmont 17thin 3A girls.
Ohatchee finished tied for fifth with Cottage Hill in the 1A-3A boys team standings; Piedmont was 19th. Oxford finished fifth in 6A boys,
