WEAVER – The Weaver volleyball team became the second full team in Calhoun County forced to shut down for two weeks because of COVID-19.
Lady Bearcats coach Chelsea Mize confirmed Friday night her team would be in quarantine for the next 14 days (followed by five days of re-acclimation).
The White Plains volleyball team went into quarantine Thursday after one of its players tested positive for coronavirus. The Lady Wildcats are expected to miss eight varsity and junior varsity dates, including their own White Plains Invitational tournament, before their anticipated return on Sept. 25.
