Chandler-Wells get up and down for par on third hole of playoff to win ACC Fall Four Ball

By East Alabama Sports Today

Dalton Chandler and Tanner Wells made a par on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the Anniston CC Fall-Four Ball Sunday.

The teams of Chandler-Wells, David Sanders-Doug Sears and Benji Turley-Max Basler all finished regulation in 7-under-par 133. The playoff ended on 18.

Turley-Basler, playing two groups in front of the leaders, had already posted their score after shooting the best round of the day (66) and were called back to the course to join the playoff when Sanders made a birdie on 18 and Chandler missed an eight-foot birdie putt for the win.

The playoff started on 16. All three teams parred the opening playoff hole, but Turley-Basler dropped out when the other two teams made two-putt birdies on 17. Both surviving teams missed the green at 18, but Chandler got up-and-down for a par 4 and the win.
