Jacksonville and White Plains pick up victories against in-county opponents
White Plains rallied from dropping the first set to get past Piedmont 3-1 in high school volleyball Thursday night. The scores were 21-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-21.
Taylor Hodge led the Lady Wildcats with had 14 kills and three blocks. Gracie Morgan had 10 kills, 17 digs and four blocks. Ashlyn Cryer had eight kills, four aces and 27 digs.
Emma Ponder had 32 digs, Natalie Pinto had 21 assists and Reece Roberts had 19 assists.
Jacksonville survived a furious rally by Donoho and beat the Lady Falcons 3-2.
The county champions won the first two sets 29-27, 25-23, but Donoho evened the match by winning the next two sets 25-19, 25-22. Jacksonville won the fifth set 15-12.
