SYLACAUGA – Xai Whitfield scored in double figures for the second game in a row and Oxford’s girls basketball won its second straight game, 54-19, over Sylacauga. Whitfield led all scorers with 13 points; she had 11 in the season-opener at Ohatchee. Lauren Ellard had 10 points and Mya McGrue had nine.
