Mountain Brook Thanksgiving Tournament
Anniston 62, Woodlawn 26
BIRMINGHAM – White Plains took a lead into the closing seconds of the game and then made a defensive stand at the finish that resulted in a missed 3-pointer at the buzzer to preserve a 49-47 victory over Homewood in Spain Park’s Jag Classic.
The Wildcats will play Spain Park on Monday. The Jags (5-0) defeated John Carroll.
Mountain Brook Tournament
Anniston got big games from Serena Hardy, Allasha Dudley and Shiwanna Jackson to throttle Woodlawn 62-26.
Hardy was the Lady Dawgs’ leading scorer with 16 points. She also had five assists and four steals.
Dudley had 15 points, five rebounds, seven steals and seven assists. Jackson had 13 points and eight boards.
The Lady Dawgs (2-1) now play Pleasant Grove Monday at 3 p.m.
