Pleasant Valley’s record-setting Leah Patterson signs to play softball at Central Alabama CC

JACKSONVILLE – Leah Patterson has her name on most of Pleasant Valley’s single-season and career softball pitching records. There’s no doubt she would have put it on a lot of the hitting marks, too, had the Lady Raiders not had their season cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
She’s hoping to get a chance to add to those totals this spring for the Lady Raiders and then embark on a new quest at the next level.
Friday morning, Patterson signed to continue her athletics and academic career at Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City.
In the circle during last year’s shortened season she posted a 1.19 ERA with three shutouts, one no-hitter and 78 strikeouts in 41 innings. At the plate, she went 10-for-19 (.526) with one homer, two doubles and five RBIs.
Next week, teammate Bailey Harris will be signing with Huntingdon.
