Lady Lions finish second in Talladega County Tournament, 3 players make all-tournament team

Munford’s breakthrough volleyball season continued Saturday when the Lady Lions finished second in the Talladega County Tournament.
The Lady Lions went 4-2 in the tournament with the only two losses coming to Sylacauga. They won the first set in the finals and went to overtime in the second, but eventually lost 20-25, 28-26, 15-12.
They beat Lincoln twice, Fayetteville and B.B. Comer.
Layla Tyus, Mekiah Mosley and Anijah Gladden were named to the all-tournament team.
Tyus had 17 kills and seven blocks in the tournament. Mosley recorded 40 digs, two aces and three kills. And Gladden had 27 kills, 22 digs, one block and nine aces.
