Ragland’s Adams joins two teammates who became part of the 1,000-point club earlier this season

Campbell Adams scored 14 points and became the third player from her Ragland girls basketball team to score their 1,000thcareer point this season in help the Lady Purple Devils crush Coosa Christian 58-20 Tuesday night.
The two players who reached the milestone earlier were Sammie Day-Jones and Cadence Buchanan. They also scored in double figures Tuesday, with Buchanan going for 17 and Day-Jones for 10.
It the first time in school history Ragland has had three 1,000-point scorers on campus at the same time.
“Campbell’s accomplishment is a testament to her work ethic and determination,” Ragland coach Sawyer Merritt said. “So many of her points come as a result of her wanting it more than the person guiding her.
“Campbell’s impact on this team and school cannot be overstated and will live on long after she plays her last game.”
