The Donoho girls won their game easily, blanking West Point 10-0.
Melton’s game-winner came on a header off a left-side corner kick from Riley Johnson. The Falcons picked up two early goals from Drew Williamson, then White Plains tied it before halftime on two goals from Layton Cheatwood.
The game remained tied for most of the second half with both teams trading chances.
The Donoho girls kept the pressure on all night in their game, peppering the goal with 27 shots and taking a 7-0 halftime lead.
Erin Turley scored four goals, Zoe Christopher had four goals and three assists, and Tosin Sanausi had two goals and an assist for the Lady Falcons. Maggie Wakefield was credited with two saves in the shutout.
FAITH SPLITS: Faith Christian fell behind early, but Yashua Arevalo and Nic Goodgame scored goals later in the first half that carried the Lions to a 2-1 victory over Jacksonville.
