Lady Panthers continue to look strong out of the gate, post fourth straight dominating performance, rout Miller Academy of St. Louis

HAZEL GREEN – The Spring Garden girls basketball team put together dominating performances against three local teams in running away with the Championship Thanksgiving Classic title earlier in the week.
The Lady Panthers broadened their reach Saturday and were just as dominating against an out-of-state opponent, routing Miller Academy of St. Louis 64-24 in the Ball N Prep showcase at Hazel Green.
Coach Ricky Austin’s team opened a 23-2 lead in the first quarter and eventually placed four scorers in double figures. They have allowed only 95 points in their four games.
Champions MVP Ace Austin again led the way with 21 points, six rebounds, eight assists, six steals and three blocked shots. Libby Brown had 15 points, five rebounds and seven steals. Kayley Kirk had 12 points, Chloe Rule had 10 and Maggie Jarrett grabbed 10 rebounds.
