Here is a rundown of Christmas week wrestling tournaments involving teams in and around Calhoun County; the Calhoun County Wrestling Tournament is Monday at Wellborn

ARAB – Weaver’s Mariah and Lena Johannson won their respective weight divisions, but Sparkman won six altogether and won the Arab Girls Invitational Friday. Weaver finished second.
Mariah Johannson won the 120 division with a 6-0 decision over Arab’s Rihanna Mariner. Undefeated Lena Johannson won the 138 division with a 16-0 tech fall over Thompson’s Aenaya Vines.
Weaver’s Ali Anderson and Kynlee Fulmer and Piedmont’s Annabelle Hilburn all scored three pins in the tournament.

HOLIDAY HAVOC DUALS
FORT PAYNE – Piedmont and White Plains both went 3-2 in the Holiday Havoc Duals at Fort Payne Friday.
Piedmont defeated Oak Grove (60-24), Leeds (42-30) and West End (66-11). White Plains defeated West End (60-12), Oak Grove (42-29) and Piedmont (39-29).
White Plains’ Tanner Jarrell (113), Lyric Brown (120), Gage Stevens (170), Luke Campbell (195) and Landen Grantham (220) scored pins in the Piedmont match. Caleb Tidwell (152) and Hunter Bagley (160) had pins for the Bulldogs.
OXFORD INVITATIONAL
OXFORD – Scottsboro won six weight divisions and had five wrestlers score at least 24 points Thursday to win the Oxford Invitational by a wide margin.
The Wildcats scored 223 points. Moody was second (140), followed by Oxford (126) and Alexandria (120).
Oxford and Lincoln each won two weight classes, while Saks and Alexandria each won one. Alexandria’s Preston Jones, Oxford’s Garrett Howell and Scottsboro Nate Warren shared high-point honors with 26 points for their respective teams.
