Oxford’s Mooney tosses perfect game; Slaton pitches three-hit shutout for Alexandria; White Plains’ Arnold, Ohatchee’s Davis homer in softball victories

MUNFORD — Berkley Mooney pitched a perfect game to lead Oxford to a 5-0 victory at Munford on Monday. She struck out 12 of the 21 batters she faced.
She threw 52 strikes out of 77 total pitches.
The Yellow Jackets got balanced offense. Ashlyn Burns doubled, scored a run and drove in a run. Kenlee Rodgers also got a double and RBI, and Oxford got a hit and RBI apiece from Justice Woods and Kaelyn Crossley.
Reagan Sanders hit a double and scored a run.
ALEXANDRIA 5, LINCOLN 0: Pressley Slaton pitched a three-hit shutout against Lincoln at Alexandria. She walked five and struck out seven batters, facing seven batters more than the minimum.
Allyssa Hunt, Christian Hess and Chloe Parris each hit a double. Hess and Clancy Bright each had two hits and an RBI.
Baylee Elston had the Valley Cubs’ other RBI.
WHITE PLAINS 12, WOODLAND 2: Lighton Arnold hit a solo home run and scored two runs, and Cooper Martin went 3-for-5 with a run and three RBIs for White Plains.
Kristen Rhodes and Cassidy Arnold each drove in two runs for the Wildcats, and Cassidy Arnold had two hits.
White Plains also got a hit and RBI apiece from Braeton Moran and Kannon Slaughter.
Slaughter and Callie Richardson combined to pitch a two-hitter. Richardson started and worked three innings, and Slaughter pitched four perfect innings with two strikeouts.
OHATCHEE 11, RANBURNE 1: Alyssa Davis hit a home run among her two hits and drove in three runs to lead the Indians.
Whitney McFry went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, Breanna Martin went 1-for-3 with a triple, run and RBI. Ohatchee also got one RBI apiece from Skylar Haynes, Alanah Fitch and Mackenzie Luna. Luna had two hits.
Hannah Fitch pitched a complete game, allowing six hits with one earned run and three walks and six strikeouts over five innings.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 13, ANNISTON 5: Rebakah Carter went 4-for-4 with four runs and an RBI to lead the Thunder, and Addy Lee homered, drove in two runs and scored two.
Erin Prater went 2-for-5 with a run, and Payten drove in a run and scored three with one hit. Samantha Cash went 1-for-2 and drove in a run.
Walker pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts.
Baseball
RAGLAND 16, TALLADEGA 1: Jake Donaldson, Skyler Barber and Jordan Turner combined for a five-inning no-hitter, and Ragland rolled up 14 hits.
Donaldson and Barber pitched two innings apiece, and Turner worked the final inning in relief. Donaldson had five strikeouts, Barber two and Turner three.
At the plate, Casey Phillips went 3-for-3 with a home run, double, three runs and three RBIs. Drake Kay went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.
Antwan Byars went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Brayden Byars doubled and scored a run.
