WEAVER — Madison Atchley hit her first career home run, and Weaver beat Gadsden City 15-0 at home on Wednesday to set the stage for a key Class 3A, Area ? showdown with Piedmont.

The Bearcats (15-6, 4-1 area) play host to Piedmont on Thursday. Piedmont can clinch the area title with a win, and Weaver can force a tiebreaker.
