Wilmes, O’Neal homer, and Fiser pitches another gem as Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers win at Oklahoma City Spark

OKLAHOMA CITY — Brooke Wilmes and Raina O’Neal homered, and Amber Fiser made six runs in the first two innings stand up as Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers beat the Oklahoma City Spark 6-2 on the road Tuesday.
The Vipers improved to 7-18 headed into Wednesday’s third game of the series. They’ll return home to begin a three-game series with the Texas Smoke on Friday.
Wilmes hit a three-run home run to key the Vipers’ four-run first inning Tuesday, and O’Neal followed with a solo shot.
Suzy Brookshire drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the second, and Jenna Kean scored on a double steal.
Karly Heath went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, and Mikayla Allee went 2-for-3 with a run.
Fiser allowed three hits, a walk and an earned run and struck out three batters over 5 1/3 innings for her fourth win of the season. Gianna Mancha allowed one hit and one earned run in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
