Schorman and Mancha combine for two-hitter, and Heath and Gonzales deliver three hits apiece as Smash It Sports Vipers end seven-game skid with 6-0 victory

VIERA, Fla. — Meghan Schorman and Gianna Mancha combined to pitch a two-hitter, and three-hit performances from Karly Heath and Chelsea Gonzales lead the offensive attack as Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers beat the USSSA Pride 6-0 in the final game of a three-game series.
The Vipers (8-25) broke a seven-game losing streak ahead of the regular season’s final series, a three-game set with the Pride (17-15) at home starting Saturday. Oxford will host the Women’s Professional Fastpitch semifinals and finals Aug. 9-14.
Schorman started and worked five innings, allowing two hits with a strikeout and three walks. Mancha pitched two perfect innings of relief.
Heath and Gonzales each went 3-for-4. Heath scored two runs, and Gonzales had an RBI and a run.
Jenna Kean went 2-for-3, and the Vipers got an RBI apiece from Makena Smith, Suzy Brookshire, Alissa Dalton and Kelsey Bennett.
