WEAVER — Cole Wilson hit seven 3-pointers to account for his 21 points, and Piedmont rebounded from its Tuesday loss to Jacksonville in a big way Thursday, beating Weaver 89-51 in Class 3A, Area 11 play.
The Bulldogs hit 15 3-pointers overall and improved to 11-6 overall, 5-0 in area play.
Piedmont’s other top performers:
—Taylon Swain: 19 points (two 3-pointers).
—Ishmael Bethel: 14 points (two 3-pointers).
—Colton Proctor: 13 points (three 3-pointers).
Weaver’s top performers:
—KeShawn Allen: 20 points (one 3-pointer).
—Harper Williams: 13 points.
—Gabe King: eight points (two 3-pointers).
FAITH CHRISTIAN 59, WINTERBORO 47: Connor Harris hit three 3-pointers en route to 20 points, and Faith avenged an earlier loss to Winterboro in Class 1A, Area 8 play.

JACKSONVILLE 59, CHEROKEE COUNTY 47: Devin Barksdale scored 21 points as Class 4A second-ranked Jacksonville improved to 15-5 on the season.
Barksdale hit five 3-pointers with four rebounds and two steals.
