Weaver girls in fourth place headed into placement matches. Lena Johannson through to championship finals, and six other Bearcats looking to place.

ALABASTER — Weaver enters the final day of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s girls’ state wrestling championship in fourth place.
The Bearcats have 148 points. Thompson leads at 261, followed by Central-Phenix City (210) and Thompson (153).
Piedmont (31) and Alexandria (30) at 31st and 32nd, respectively.
Placement matches will play out Friday at Birmingham CrossPlex. Weaver’s Lena Johannson will square off with Buckhorn’s Bianca Hart in the 138-pound championship final.
