Weaver adds North Super Sectional title to its season resume, qualifies wrestlers in 13 weight classes for state. Alexandria, Southside and Cleburne County get top-five finishes.

BIRMINGHAM — Two-time defending Class 1A-4A champion Weaver’s march to another Class 1A-4A state wrestling title continued Saturday with a first-place finish in the AHSAA North Super Sectional.
The top-ranked Bearcats amassed 258 points, beating second-place Corner by 51.
White Plains (124.5) finished seventh and Piedmont (119) eighth. Ohatchee (79.5) was 11th, Cherokee County (61.5) 13th and Pleasant Valley (53) 15th.
In Class 5A, Calhoun County champion Alexandria (150.5) took fourth, and Southside (108.5) was fifth. Lincoln (55) was ninth.
Oxford (89) finished ninth in 6A.
The South Super Sectional in Montgomery saw Cleburne County (150.5) finish fifth in 1A-4A. Ranburne (144) took sixth and Wellborn (118) seventh. Saks (37) took 21st.
Weaver is the two-time defending Class 1A-4A state champion. The Bearcats also won their first state duals championship this season and have finished first or second in every tournament.
Weaver qualified wrestlers for state in 13 weight classes. The state tournament is Feb. 15-17 in Huntsville’s Von Braun Center.
What follows is a list of area wrestlers that have qualified for state and how they finished at Super Sectional. The top six qualify for state in Class 1A-4A, 6A and 7A. The top four make it in 5A, which has fewer teams.
North Class 1A-4A

Zachary Hooks (190) fourth, Hunter Hise (175) fourth, Christopher Thornton (165) fourth, Caden Thornton (157) third, DaShawn Kirby Barnes (150) sixth, Dylan Brown (138) fourth, Gabriel Snyder (132) sixth, Dalton Fink (126) third and Peyton Andrews (113) third qualified through the consolation bracket.
WHITE PLAINS: Mason Hahm (120) second reached his championship final. Houston Jarrell (165) sixth, James Heard (157) fifth, Wesley Beebe (144) third and Tanner Jarrell (126) fourth qualified through the consolation bracket.
CHEROKEE COUNTY: Kurtis Soles (132) first and Andrew Young (150) second reached championship finals.
PIEDMONT: Dalton Chandler (285) sixth, Elijah Young (215) fifth, Caleb Tidwell (157) fourth, Hunter Bagley (144) sixth, Izak Bailey (132) fifth, Hendrix Keener (113) sixth and Myles Bailey (106) third qualified through the consolation bracket.
PLEASANT VALLEY: Connor Crump (285) fourth and Barron House (132) third qualified through the consolation bracket.
OHATCHEE: James Howard (175) fifth, Jaxon Tuiolosega (126) sixth and Phoenix Tuiolosega (106) fifth qualified through the consolation bracket.
North Class 5A
ALEXANDRIA: Preston Jones (120) first and Kaden Deline (144) first reached their championship finals. Jeremy Lambert (106) third, Dakota Ball (132) fourth, Corey Owens (138) fourth, Tristan Page (150) fourth and Amorea Green (157) fourth qualified through the consolation bracket.
SOUTHSIDE: Ephram Ormiston (126) second and Peyton Adams (150) second reached their championship finals. Eli Carter (106) fourth, Thomas Norris (113) third and Hayden Graham (144) third qualified through the consolation bracket.
LINCOLN: Rhett Walters (190) first reached his championship final. Hunter Smiley (165) fourth qualified through the consolation bracket.
North Class 6A
OXFORD: Caleb Tinner (285) first reached his championship final. Karlise Hubbard (106) third, Tristan Williams (144) sixth and Jeremiah Edwards (165) sixth reached consolation semifinals qualified through the consolation bracket.
South Class 1A-4A
CLEBURNE COUNTY: Austen Mayfield (144) first reached his championship final. Will Johnson (215) third, Brayden Beam (175) fourth, Colton Mayfield (157) fourth, Jackson Letson (132) fifth and Jacob Biggers (106) fourth qualified through the consolation bracket.
RANBURNE: Carter Driver (106) first, Zack Buchanan (175) first and Zaden Benefield (285) second reached their championship finals. Braden Driver (138) fifth and Hunter Hulsey (113) third qualified through the consolation bracket.
WELLBORN: Andrew Salter (285) fifth, Ethan Carroll (190) fifth, Kadon King (150) third, Noah Screws (144) fourth and Noah Smith (106) sixth qualified through the consolation bracket.
SAKS: John Bussey (190) second reached his championship final.
