OXFORD — Will Greenwood pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Jacksonville beat Hale County 8-0 on Monday in a Spring Experience game at Choccolocco Park.
Jacksonville (8-7) also got a triple and two RBIs from Ryan Mitchell. He also scored two runs.
Xaye Lemon went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 10, WEAVER 4: Randolph County’s Bryant Lee went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs, and Michael Robinson singled with two RBIs.
Daniel Jones went 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI, and the Tigers got a single and an RBI from Braden Reaves.
Weaver’s Haiden Hise singled and drove in two runs, and Cael Fulmer went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Tracen Jones singled with an RBI.
Softball
ALEXANDRIA 14, ST. CLAIR COUNTY 0: Pressley Slaton pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts as Alexandria improved to 11-5-1. She also went 1-for-2 with a run and two RBIs.
Alexandria’s Jill Cockrell went 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs and three RBIs, and Allyssa Hunt went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.
The Valley Cubs also got a single, a run and two RBIs from Brenlee Sparks, and Briley Bright had an RBI.
OHATCHEE 16, SAKS 0: Ohatchee scored nine first-inning runs and cruised to victory on five hits.
Alanah Fitch went 3-for-3 with a double, a run and six RBIs, and Savannah Reaves singled, scored a run and had two RBIs.
Breanna Martin drove in two runs, and Brylie Myer had an RBI.
Lexi Thomas allowed one hit with five strikeouts in three innings.
WEAVER 7, RANBURNE 0: Kynlee Fulmer pitched a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Weaver improved to 2-4. She also went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Jadyn Smith and McKennah Homesley each hit a solo home run. Alana Cooper went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Ella Mae Kines went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Peyton Marvasty had a single and an RBI.
MUNFORD 7, SYLACAUGA 6: A two-run error on Addyson Britt’s grounder in the bottom of the seventh inning pushed Munford over the top. She finished the day 3-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBIs.
Tayla Marlow went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Jena Gaither went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Brooklyn Pressley went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs. Madison Arnold and Bayleigh Durham had two hits and a run apiece.
SOUTHSIDE 6, PLEASANT VALLEY 3: Southside’s Ava Ramsey went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Bailey Houston was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs.
Kadey Barbe had an RBI, and Jalyn Allen got the win, striking out four batters while allowing two hits and two earned runs in three innings.
Pleasant Valley’s Lily Henry homered with two RBIs and scored two runs. Madyson Cromer went 2-for-3 with a double,and Haylie Lee drove in a run.
ANNISTON 12, CLEBURNE COUNTY 11: Anniston got out to a 12-6 lead and held off a Cleburne County rally to score an area victory.
Anniston Lady bulldogs got their first ares win tonight beating Cleburne County 12 to 11
Lyric Williams went 3-for-4 with two doubles and stuck out six batters.
Aubree Thomas’ two-run home run provided the go-ahead runs for Anniston, putting the Bulldogs up 7-6 in the fifth inning. She was 2-for-4, including a double.
Kameriya Thomas went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI double, which scored Aubree Thomas for the 12th run.
