MOBILE — Evan Snow and Nic Thompson drove in two runs apiece, and Alexandria mounted 11 hits while rallying for five runs in the seventh inning and four in the eighth to beat St. Paul’s Episcopal 10-6 in the final game of a spring-break trip.

Snow went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs as Alexandria improved to 14-8.

The Valley Cubs also got two hits and an RBI apiece from Eli Barnes and Zach Baskins. Ty Brown had a double, two runs and one RBI.

Tripp Patterson pitched seven innings, allowing eight hits and six earned runs with eight strikeouts. St. Paul’s scored five of its runs in the first three innings.

Samuel Henegar worked a hitless and scoreless eighth inning in relief, striking out two batters.

OHATCHEE 11, FYFFE 3: Ohatchee’s Josh Hulbert singled, scored a run and drove in three runs as Ohatchee improved to 7-9.

Xavier Luna had a double, a run and an RBI, and the Indians got a single and RBI apiece from Jesse Baswell, Jake Roberson, Tyler Green, Dylan Ramsey and Hunter Brown.

Will Folsom got the win, allowing two hits, three walks and no earned runs with four strikeouts. He also had a single and scored two runs.

Luna worked four innings, allowing two hits and striking out seven batters.

JACKSONVILLE 11, CLEBURNE COUNTY 3: Jackson Bonner went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and four RBIs as Jacksonville completed a Class 4A, Area 9 sweep and improved to 12-11.

Gavin Peeler went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Xaye Lemon went 4-for-4 with four runs and to RBIs.

Kingston Peeler went 2-for-5 with two runs.

Will Greenwood pitched four innings with six strikeouts. He allowed four hits and two earned runs.

Softball

PIEDMONT 9, FORT PAYNE 3: Carson Young went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and four RBIs as Piedmont improved to 10-4.

Cayla Brothers went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, and Cadence Buttram went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Jaycee Glover went 1-for-4 with a double and three runs.

Savannah Smith got the win, striking out eight batters while allowing two walks, two hits and one earned run.

Soccer

JACKSONVILLE GIRLS 9, CLEBURNE COUNTY 0: In Class 4A, Area 5 action at Jacksonville, the Golden Eagles got three goals from Lexi Page. Sarah Sloughfy added two goals, and Jacksonville got one each from Emerson Weaver, Willa Kate Walker, Sophia Snyder and Kylie Terrell.

Adding assists were Weaver with two, Walker and Terrell with one each.

Emma Easterling led the defensive effort, and goalie Kelsie Sigler earned the shutout.
