OXFORD Donoho’s boys and girls stand one more victory away from defending their Calhoun County soccer championships.

The girls beat Oxford 5-0 in Tuesday’s semifinals at Choccolocco Park, and the boys beat White Plains 3-0.

Donoho’s girls will play Jacksonville on Thursday at 5 p.m., and the boys will play top seed Oxford on Thursday at 7 p.m. Jacksonville’s girls beat Saks 9-3 on Tuesday, and Oxford’s boys beat Jacksonville 8-0.

Both Donoho teams won titles last year. There weren’t enough boys teams to support an official county tournament in 2023, but the Donoho won the Isaac Crook Invitational, the de facto county championship, beating Oxford 2-1.

Donoho’s girls are going for their seventh consecutive county title, and the boys hope to make it three in a row.
