WEAVER — Leo Mondragon scored two goals, and Weaver’s boys got their first win of the season Friday, beating Saks 4-3.
Jacob Wrobel and Orlando Mondragon scored a goal apiece, and Weaver scored three second-half goals after trailing 2-1 at halftime.
“We played great as a team tonight, and we didn’t give up when we were down early,” Weaver coach Chris Strott said. “We had some troubles when they played the ball to their strikers early on and then cleaned it up (in) the second half.
“We created chances to score, and we converted on them.”
