Wills, Twymon homer as Saks wins. Mooney homers, gets win for Oxford. Holloway homers twice, and Whaley and Hill get it done in the circle as Handley wins. Glencoe’s Waldrop drives in three runs. White Plains’ Richardson homers twice, but Spring Garden edges the Wildcats.

SAKS — Olivia Wills’ two-run home run set the tone in the first inning, and Saks beat Anniston 13-3 Monday to start the final week of regular-season softball action.
A.J. Twymon added a three-run home run in the second innings.
Adrianna Stevens went 4-for-4, and Caylee Miller was 3-for-3.
Pitcher Ava Snead, reaching 100 percent after her return from an injury, struck out six batters.
Saks plays at Ashville on Tuesday and plays host to Ranburne on Thursday before beginning Class 3A, Area 10 tournament play Saturday at Piedmont.
OXFORD 12, RAGLAND 2: On senior night, senior Berkley Mooney homered, drove in two runs and got the win as Oxford improved to 17-15.
Her two-run homer put Oxford up 5-0 in the first inning.
The University of Montevallo signee struck out six batters and allowed one hit in two innings in the circle.
Senior Reagan Sanders had a single and two RBIs, and senior Kaelyn Crossley was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Senior Adajiah Wilson was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs, and Emma Tims-Becerra was 3-for-4 wih two runs and an RBI.
Senior Jamea Gaston had a double, a run and an RBI, and senior Chloe Hulsey had a double and an RBI.
Senior and Wallace State Community College signee Ashlyn Burns scored a run and had an RBI.
HANDLEY 6, PIEDMONT 3: Mariana Whaley and Ava Hill combined to pitch a four-hitter, and Handley, ranked No. 10 in Class 4A, beat 3A No. 6 Piedmont at Handley to improve to 21-7.
Piedmont is 15-8.
Including a 6-1 victory at Alexandria a week ago, Handley has beaten both Calhoun County finalists.
Whaley, who pitched a two-hitter against Alexandria, allowed four hits and one earned run with four strikeouts in four innings. She got the win.
Hill worked three innings, striking out seven batters while allowing no hits and no earned runs.
Kamlyn Holloway hit two solo home runs, and Kia Brown hit a solo homer.
Hill went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Ella Hopper was 2-for-3 with a double.
Brynnley Lane had a single and two RBIs.
For Piedmont, Carson Young was 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI. and Cadence Buttram had a single, a run and an RBI. Jaycee Glover was 2-for-3 with a double.
GLENCOE 6, JACKSONVILLE 5: Sadie Waldrop ws 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as Glencoe (14-20-1) edged Jacksonville.
Summer Crump went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs, and Emma Croy was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Cayse Willett went 3-for-4 with a double, and Abigail Bunt was 2-for-3.
For Jacksonville (15-15), Lexi Phillips went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI, and Je’henna Engram was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Ana Strain went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
SPRING GARDEN 4, WHITE PLAINS 2: Hannah Ingram went 2-for-4 with a double and a run, and Spring Garden (20-8) got an RBI apiece from Maggie Reedy, Lilly McCain and Olivia Law.
Avery Steward pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and two earned runs and six strikeouts.
White Plains’ Callie Richardson, working her way back to full strength, hit two solo home runs. Sara Kate Adams went 2-for-4, and Carli Fritts hit a double.
Leighton Arnold struck out 10 batters and allowed three hits in 5 2/3 innings as White Plains finished the day at 22-14.
