JACKSONVILLE — Emerson Weaver, Lexi Page and Sarah Sloughy each scored a goal a Jacksonville’s girls opened the playoffs with a 3-1 victory over visiting Cherokee County on Tuesday,

Sloughfy and Willa Kate Walker added an assist each.

Leading the defensive effort were center back Emma Easterling and goalie Kelsie Sigler, who recorded seven saves in the win.

Jacksonville’s (19-3-2) will play host to Westbrook Christian in the quarterfinals Thursday at 5 p.m.

DONOHO 3, ALTAMONT 2: Anna Kate Wallace, Lauren Wigley and Zoe Christopher scored a goal apiece as Donoho’s girls advanced. The Falcons advanced to the quarterfinals and will play at Westminster Christian on Thursday at 5 p.m.
