Walker homers twice, and Campbell gets another solid start as the Choccolocco Monsters beat the Atlanta Blues on the road to stay tied atop the Sunbelt League.

ATLANTA — Mason Walker homered twice and drove in three runs as the Choccolocco Monsters beat the Atlanta Blues 9-3 on the road in Wednesday’s Sunbelt League action.
The victory kept the Monsters (18-8) in a tie for the league lead with the Gainesville Goldiggers (18-8), who beat the Alpharetta Aviators 15-3.
Walker was 3-for-5 on the night.
Taylor Harris went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Hunter Humphries had a single and two RBIs. Hayes Harrison singled and drove in his 19th RBI of the season.
Hugh Windle went 2-for-4 with a double.
Dawson Campbell got the win, working the first five innings. He allowed seven hits and two earned runs with one walk and six strikeouts.
Will Baker allowed no hits or runs with three strikeouts in three innings of relief, and Caleb Jatko worked the ninth inning, allowing two hits and a run.
The Monsters will conclude the regular season Friday and Saturday at home, against Alpharetta. Friday’s game starts at 7:05 p.m., and Saturday’s game starts at 6:05 p.m.
