Led by Brooks’ 92 assists and Prince’s 50 kills, Oxford goes 3-0 at CaroStrong Tournament. Ohatchee wins two out of three. Jacksonville tops Oneonta. Also, reports from Munford, Piedmont, Weaver, Donoho, Cherokee County and Faith Christian.

JACKSONVILLE — Oxford went 3-0 in Jacksonville’s CaroStrong Tournament on Saturday, beating Ohatchee 25-16, 25-20, 27-29, 25-19, Oneonta 25-9, 25-9, 25-18 and Jacksonville 25-18, 25-21, 25-16.
The CaroStrong Tournament is named for former Jacksonville standout Caroline Neisler, who played for two state-title teams at Jacksonville. She died of Leukemia on May 15, 2013, after transferring from the University of North Alabama to Samford to finish her college playing career and business degree in marketing.
She was 21.

FAITH CHRISTIAN: The host school finishes as runner up to Westbrook Christian, beating Ranburne 25-9, 25-22, falling to Westbrook 11-25, 21-25 and beating West End-Walnut Grove 25-13, 25-5 in pool play.
The Lions beat Munford 25-18, 25-23 in the semifinals then fell to Westbrook 16-25, 19-25 in the final.

WEAVER: The Bearcats swept to the title, beating Cleburne County 25-16, 25-22 and Saks 25-12, 25-12 before beating Saks in the championship match, 25-11, 25-16.

DONOHO: The Falcons finished second overall, going 4-2 on the day. They beat Jackson Olin 25-9, 25-7, and Carbon Hill 25-10, 25-20 and lost to Winston County 25-23, 22-25, 10-15 in pool play. In golf bracket play, Donoho beat Leeds 19-25, 25-22, 15-9 and 25-23, 25-23 and lost to Helena 25-21, 17-25, 16-18.

—Sam Wakefield: 45 kills, one assist, 11 aces, 28 digs, one block.

CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors went 4-1 and finished as gold bracket runners up.
In pool play, Cherokee County beat Lincoln 25-14, 25-20, Boaz 25-16, 25-18, and Geraldine 27-25, 25-15. The Warrior beat Plainview 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 in the gold bracket semifinals ten lost to Guntersville 25-21, 22-25, 6-15 in the finals.
