Bailey, Brothers sisters lead the way as Piedmont sweeps trimatch with Gaston, Cedar Bluff. Cherokee County sweeps, Donoho splits.

CEDAR BLUFF — Piedmont swept a trimatch Thursday, beating Gaston 26-24, 24-26, 15-5 and Cedar Bluff 14-25, 26-24, 15-12.
The Bulldogs’ top performers:
—Cayla Brothers: 11 kills, nine digs, two blocks.
—Amiyah Thomas: 10 kills, 11 digs, five aces.
—Carson Young: nine kills, eight digs, two aces.
—Cacey Brothers: four kills, 12 digs, two ace, two blocks.
—Melanie Studdard: three kills, nine digs, one ace.
—Adilyn Bailey: one kill, 31 assists.
—Allie Haynes: four digs.
DONOHO: The Falcons swept an area match with Saks, 25-12, 25-9, 25-8 and lost to Cherokee County 25-23 and 25-18. Donoho’s top performrs:
—Kate Williamon: 11 kills, two aces, 12 digs.
—Sam Wakefield: 18 kills, two assists, one ace, 12 digs.
—Ryals Jones: 10 kills, three blocks.
—Callee Taylor: one kill, 37 assists, four aces, seven digs, one block.
—Ava Michaels: six kills, one ace, five digs, one block.
—Bentlee Pahman: three assists, 23 digs.
—Chloe Melton: two aces.
—Alana Maldonado: six kills, one dig, three blocks.
—Lindsey Brewer: one ace, three digs.

CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors swept Saks 25-8, 26-10 and Donoho 25-23, 25-18. Cherokee County’s top performers:
