Donoho sweeps to title of Donoho Classic, and Jacksonville goes 3-1. Oxford goes 3-1 in Husky Challenge, and Munford wins silver bracket. Cherokee County runner up in Fort Payne Invitational.

ANNISTON — Donoho swept to the championship of the Donoho Classic on Saturday, beating Glencoe 25-17, 21-25, 15-13, Altamont 25-4, 25-7, Weaver 25-17, 25-21 and Jacksonville 25-13, 25-9.

The Falcons’ top performers:

—Kate WIlliamon: 13 kills, three assists, three aces, 23 digs.
—Sam Wakefield: 39 kills, one assist, four ace, 16 digs, one block.
—Ryals Jones: 21 kills, five blocks.
—Callee Taylor: four kills, 67 assists, five aces, 15 digs.
—Ava Michaels: six kills, one block.
—Bentlee Pahman: three assists, two aces, 26 digs.
—Chloe Melton: one kill, two aces, two digs.
—Alana Maldonado: 15 kills, three aces, one dig, three blocks.
—Lindsey Brewer: three aces, eight digs.
—Anna Kate Whitson: five aces, 13 digs.

JACKSONVILLE: Also playing in the Donoho Classic, Jacksonville beat Weaver 25-18, 25-13, beat Ider 25-14, 25-16, beat White Plains 25-18, 27-25 and lost to Donoho 13-25, 9-25.

—Sydney Soriano: five ace, five kills, 39  assists, three blocks, three digs.
—Camryn Stone: five aces, nine kills, five blocks, six digs.
—Mya Swain: four aces, 16 kills, two blocks, one dig.

—KeAsiah Williams: one ace.
—Chloe Henderson: three aces, 13 digs.
—Alexis Phillips: three aces, four kills, four digs.

OXFORD: Playing in the Hewitt-Trussville Husky Challenge, the Yellow Jackets beat Munford 25-15, 25-16, Parker 25-8, 25-12 and Hewitt-Trussville 25-21, 25-17 to win their pool. Oxford lost to Briarwood 23-25, 20-25.

Oxford’s top performance:

—Mileah Prince: 17 digs, 24 kills, two blocks.
—Preslee Reeves: 17 digs.
—Jaslyn Montgomery: six blocks, 15 kills.
—Arilyn Pool: 29 assists,15 digs.
—Payton Brooks: 55 assists, one block.
—Ava Thomas: 35 kills.
—Daelyn Bozeman: 15 kills, two blocks.

MUNFORD: Also playing in the Husky Challenge, the Lions won the silver bracket. 

They lost to Oxford 15-25, 16-25 and Hewitt Trussville 21-25, 18-25, beat Parker 25-20, 25-14, Leeds 15-25, 25-20, 16-14, and Pell City 27-25, 18-25, 15-11. 

Sophomore Mylie Stephens went over 500 kills for her career against Pell City in the championship match, reaching 505. She now has 505. 

Munford’s top performers:

—Breanna Hailes: nine aces, 12 digs.
—Raleigh Dew: five digs.
—Lauryn Brewster: 16 Kills, 11 blocks.
—Stephens: six aces, 35 kills, nine digs, 10 blocks.
—Christiny Putnam: 12 kills, one block.
—Alys Mosley: nine kills, two assists, four digs.
—Kastin Lathem: 68 assists, nine kills, four digs.
—Ashtyn Bishop: six aces, 14 assists, 24 digs.
—Faith Jacobs: 14 kills, 14 blocks.
—Brooklyn Pressley: eight aces, five assists, eight digs.

ALEXANDRIA: The Valley Cubs went 2-2 in the Eddie Preuitt Ford Tournament at Hartselle, beating 25-12, 25-23 and West Point 25-17, 25-27, 13-15 and losing to Central-Florence 25-21, 20-25, 13-15 and Priceville 25-18, 14-25, 12-15.

—McKinley Cooper: five kills, five digs, three aces.
—Eryn Spradley: 53 kills, 19 dig, three blocks.
—Kylie Jeffers: seven kills, one assist, one dig, one block.
—Cassidy Hartsfield: 19 kills, eight digs, three blocks, six aces.

—Landry Patterson: three kill, two assists, 13 digs, one ace.
—Zayley Mobbs: seven digs,
—Shelby Morris: one kill, 17 digs. four aces.
—Charlee Parris: one kill, two assists, 51 digs.

CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors finished as runners up in the Fort Payne Invitational, beating Cedar Bluff 22-25, 25-11, 15-8, Southside 25-15, 25-21 and Glenwood 25-16, 25-20 in pool play.

They beat Faith Christian 25-11, 25-15 in the quarterfinals and Springville 25-19, 25-16 in the semifinals. They lost to Fort Payne 20-25, 17-25 in the championship.
