Alexandria completes 11-0 week with 5-0 run at Brewer. Oxford wins Sandy Hunter Invitational, Ohatchee goes 4-2 and Jacksonville 2-2. White Plains wins Wellborn SlamFest, and Weaver runner up.

Alexandria’s volleyball team went 5-0 at the Brewer Bash on Saturday, beating Brewer 25-14, 26-24, Athens Bible 25-14, 25-12, DAR 25-13, 25-18, Danville 25-13, 25-15 and Lincoln County (Tenn.) 25-19, 25-16 to go 11-0 on the week.

This also in a week that saw the Calhoun County coaches vote the Valley Cubs as the top seed in the county tournament, which starts Oct. 5.

Alexandria’s top performers:

—McKinley Cooper: 23 kills, four digs, four blocks, two aces.
—Eryn Spradley: 47 kills, 11 digs, two blocks, seven aces.
—Kylie Jeffers: four kills, two blocks.
—Cassidy Hartsfield: 19 kills, one assist, six digs, four blocks, three aces.
—Kaden Pritchett: 13 kills, three digs, four blocks.
—Landry Patterson: one kill, 24 digs, four aces.
—Zayley Mobbs: 12 digs.
—Shelby Morris: one assist, 18 digs, two aces.
—Charlee Parris: one kill, four assists, 26 digs, five aces.
—Sophie Martin: 12 kills, 99 assists, 17 digs, four blocks, 11 aces.
—Cali Hess: nine kills, one assist, 10 digs.

OXFORD: The Yellow Jackets won the Sandy Hunter Invitational at Pleasant Valley, beating Ohatchee 25-23, 21-25, 15-4, Jacksonville 25-15, 25-17, Spring Garden 25-18, 25-13 and beating Spring Garden 25-19, 25-19 in the championship.

Oxford’s top performers:

—Payton Brooks 38 digs, five aces, 111 assists.
—Arilyn Pool 31 digs, three aces, nine assists.
—Ava Thomas 16 digs, three aces, 45 kills.
—Daelyn Pool 15 digs, one block, two aces, 17 kills.
—Mileah Prince 16 digs, three blocks, 40 kills.
—Jaslyn Montgomery: three blocks, two aces, 21 kills.

OHATCHEE: Ohatchee went 4-2 in the Sandy Hunter Invitational at Pleasant Valley, losing to Oxford 23-25, 25-21, 4-15, beating New Hope 25-11, 23-25, 15-13, beating  Cleburne County 25-12, 25-13, beating Pleasant Valley 25-18, 27-25,  beating Jacksonville 25-19, 25-21 and losing to Spring Garden 21-25, 21-25.

The Indians’ top performers: 

—Alanah Fitch: 37 kills, 73 assists, eight aces, 10 digs, three blocks.
—Brett Finn: 14 kills, 10 aces, four digs, six blocks.
—Rebecca Henderson: 47 kills, five aces, 15 digs, eight blocks.
—Kate Ryan: 38 assists, five aces, 12 digs.
—Emily Riddle: 18 kills, two aces, nine blocks.
—Ayla Crook: eight kills, three aces, 24 digs.

JACKSONVILLE: The Golden Eagles went 2-2 in the Sandy Hunter Invitational, beating New Hope 25-19, 25-15, falling to Oxford 15-25, 17-25, beating New Hope 25-21, 25-17 and falling to Ohatchee 19-25, 21-25.

Jacksonville’s top performers:

—Sydney Soriano: two aces, six kills, 54 assists, five blocks, nine digs.
—Camryn Stone: five aces, 16 kills, eight blocks, 13 digs.
—Nyla Hoult: two aces, 24 kills, five blocks, six digs.
—Chloe Henderson: 24 digs.
—Alexis Phillips: one ace, 10 kills, two block, 10 digs.
—Reese Rollins: 11 kills, eight blocks.
—Lacey Barnes: four kills, two blocks, two dig.
—Ana Strain: one assist.

WHITE PLAINS: The Wildcats won the Wellborn SlamFest, beating Saks 25-15, 25-9, and Faith Christian 25-15, 25-23, losing to Weaver 25-22. 21-25, 13-15, beating Ashville 25-21, 16-25. 16-14 in the semifinals and beating Weaver 25-20, 21-25. 15-13 in the final.

White Plains’ top performers:

—Leighton Arnold: 30 digs, 28 kills, one block, 10 aces, one assist.
–Carli Fritts: 37 digs, 22 kills, two blocks, four aces.
—Aubrey Adcock: 17 digs, 24 kills, one block, three aces.
—Anna O’Dell: 23 digs, one kill, seven aces.
—Sara Kate Adams: three digs, 34 kills, 14 blocks, two assists.
—Brooklyn Ward: five digs, 16 kills, four blocks.
—Ansley Prichard: four digs, seven aces.
—Savannah Phillips: 25 digs, four kills, two aces, nine blocks. 84 assists.
—Ella Ponder: 24 digs. one ace.

WEAVER: Weaver finished as runner up in the Wellborn SlamFest, beating Faith Christian 25-13, 25-20, Saks 25-13, 25-7 and White Plains 25-22, 25-21, 15-13. In bracket play, the Bearcats beat Piedmont 25-7, 25-13 and lost to White Plains 20-25, 25-21, 13-15.

Weaver’s top performers:

—Ali Anderson: one ace, six kills, one block, six assists.
—Ansley Montgomery: five aces, 11 kills, four digs, five assists.
