Donoho, Oxford, Pleasant Valley, Munford win area titles. Weaver, Pell City, Cedar Bluff and Cleburne County also clinch regional berths.

ANNISTON — Samantha Wakefield had 22 kills and Callee Taylor 44 assists as host Donoho swept through the Class 3A, Area 9 tournament on Monday, punching their ticket to next week’s North Regional.
The Falcons beat Saks 25-10, 25-7, 25-13 in the semifinals and Weaver 25-18, 25-9, 25-22 in the area title match.
Wakefield was the tourney’s most valuable player, and Donoho teammates Ryals Jones, Bentlee Pahman, Callee Taylor and Kate Williamon joined her on the all-tournament team.
Also making the all-tourney team were Randolph County’s Anna Grace Henderson and Katelyn Black, Saks’ Adrianna Stevens and Ava Snead, Wellborn’s Bentley Bean and Hannah Grubbs and Weaver’s Ansley Montgomery, Chloe Collison, Gracie Duncan and Jadey Hatten-Rivera.
Donoho’s top performers:
—Kate Williamon: 12 kills, seven aces, 11 digs, one block.
—Samantha Wakefield: 22 kills, one assist, three aces, 17 digs.
—Ryals Jones: 10 kills, two assists, three digs, two blocks.
—Callee Taylor: three kills, 44 assists, 10 aces, 20 digs, one block.
—Ava Michaels: two kills, seven digs.
—Bentlee Pahman: one assist, 13 digs.
—Chloe Melton: one kill, one assist, five aces, nine digs.
—Alana Maldonado: nine kills, one dig, one block.
—Lindsey Brewer: one ace, four digs.
—Anna Kate Whitson: four digs.
WEAVER: The Bearcats punched their ticket to regional by beating Wellborn 25-20, 25-7, 25-22 in the 3A, Area 9 area semifinals before falling to Donoho in the final.

—Kimora Miles: 15 kills, two blocks.
—Jadey Hatten-Rivera: five aces, 12 kills, 38 assists, seven digs.
—Bailey Hodges: one ace, two digs.
Class 6A, Area 11
OXFORD: Host Oxford won its three-team area, beating Pell City 25-7, 25-14, 25-8 in the final.
Both teams advanced to the North Regional. Runner up Pell City beat Shades Valley in Monday’s other 6A, Area 11 match.
Oxford setter Payton Brooks was selected as most valuable player. Jaslyn Montgomery and Mileah Prince also made the all-tournament team.
The Yellow Jackets’ top performers:
—Payton Brooks: 26 assists, seven digs, two aces.
—Ava Thomas: nine kills, five digs.
—Daelyn Bozeman: three kills, three digs.
—Mileah Prince: 11 kills, two aces.
—Jaslyn Montgomery: 12 kills, two aces, three blocks.
—Arilyn Pool: 10 digs, one ace.
PELL CITY: The Panthers punched their ticket to regional by beating Shades Valley 25-14, 25-22, 14-25, 18-25, 18-16 in the first round of the 6A, Area 11 tourney before falling to Oxford in the final.
Nyla Treptau and Madison Graham made the all-tournament team. Pell City’s top performers:
—Ebonecia Forman: 3 kills.
—De’Nadriya Moon: five digs, three kills.
—Nyla Treptau: seven digs, eight kills, four aces.
—Olivia Armstrong: 24 digs.
—Brooklyn Rains: six blocks, seven kills, three digs.
—Ella Grace Haynes: three blocks, four kills, one dig.
—Ja’Anna Johnston: three assists, one dig.
—Reese Tarver: 20 assists, 2 aces, 2 kills.
—Briley Goodgame: four digs.
—Madison Graham: six digs, four aces, 10 kills.
Class 2A, Area 13
PLEASANT VALLEY: Most valuable player Lily Henry had 21 kills and 13 aces, and host Pleasant Valley beat Gaston 25-7, 25-17, 25-5 in the semifinals then Cedar Bluff 25-16, 25-11, 25-15 in the final.
The Raiders clinched a berth in next week’s North Regional, as did area runner up Cedar Bluff.
Henry led the all-tournament team, along with Pleasant Valley teammates Madison Schwabe, Ella Parris, Ellie Patterson, Cailey Almaroad and Elise Wheeler. Also making the all-tourney team were Gaston’s Bella Holland, Sand Rock’s Macey Pruitt and Cedar Bluff’s Blakelea Hall, Rylie Walker, Janaya Higgins and Kindel Grace.
Pleasant Valley’s top performers:
—Lily Henry: 21 kills, 13 aces, 17 digs, one block.
—Madison Schwabe: 11 kills, seven blocks, three aces, 12 digs.
—Ella Parris: nine kills, five blocks, five aces, seven digs.
—Ellie Patterson: 14 kills, two digs, two blocks.
—Elise Wheeler: one kill, six blocks, four aces, 10 digs, 49 assists.
—Cailey Almaroad: 14 digs, two aces.
—Janette Turner: eight digs, one ace.
Class 4A, Area 8
MUNFORD: The Lions beat Handley 25-6, 25-11, 25-10 and Cleburne County 25-15, 25-18, 25-18 to win the area title and clinch a South Regional berth.
Runner up Cleburne County beat Talladega 25-9, 25-11, 25-10 in the semifinals to also clinch a regional berth.
Munford’s Mylie Stephens was selected most valuable player, joining teammates Kastin Lathem and Faith Jacobs on the all-tournament team. Cleburne County’s Amilya Williams and Laura Beth Clanton made the all-tournament team, along with Talladega’s Zae Cunningham and Handley’s Makayla Laney.

—Lauryn Brewster: nine kills, four blocks.
—Mylie Stephens: four aces, 20 kills, five digs.
—Christiny Putnam: seven kills.
—Alys Mosley: nine kills, one dig.

—Ashtyn Bishop: three aces, five assists, one kill, two digs.
