HOOVER — Defending Class 1A state champion Spring Garden and Ohatchee became the area’s third and fourth North Regional volleyball champions Friday, giving the area four North Regional champions.

Spring Garden defeated Addison in the Class 1A regional final, and Ohatchee beat Donoho in the 3A final.

Defending Class 2A state champion Pleasant Valley and Alexandria (Class 4A) clinched North Regional titles Thursday.

The top four teams from regional advance to next week’s state tournament at Birmingham CrossPlex. The lineup of area teams to advance also includes Cherokee County in Class 4A and Faith Christian in 1A. Cherokee County finished fourth in Class 4A, falling to Central-Florence 3-1 in Thursday’s third-place match. Faith took fourth in 1A, falling to Ider 3-1 in Friday’s third-place match.

Rundowns from Friday’s matches involving area teams:

Class 3A

OHATCHEE: The Indians defeated Defeated Lauderdale County 25-20, 25-22, 25-13 in the regional semifinals and Donoho 26-24, 25-16, 25-20 in the finals.
Ohatchee will play South Regional No. 4 qualifier T.R. Miller on Wednesday at noon at Birmingham CrossPlex.

Ohatchee’s top performers:

—Alanah Fitch: 15 kills, 45 assists, three aces, 14 digs.
—Brett Finn: three kills, two assists, seven aces, two digs, three blocks.
—Rebecca Henderson: 28 kills, four aces, 13 digs, one block.
—Kate Ryan: 18 assists, five digs.
—Emily Riddle: 10 kills, one dig, seven blocks.
—Ayla Crook: 11 kills, two aces, nine digs.
—Bailey Fowler: five kills, two aces, four digs, four blocks.
—Savannah Reaves: two aces, two assists, 13 digs.

DONOHO: The Falcons swept Geraldine 25-13, 25-20, 25-16 then in the regional semifinals then fell to Ohatchee 24-26, 15-25, 20-25 in the final.

Donoho will play South Regional third-place finisher Alabama Christian on Wednesday at noon at Birmingham CrossPlex.

—Kate Williamon: 14 kills, two aces, 14 digs, three blocks.
—Samantha Wakefield: 26 kills, seven aces, 18 digs.
—Ryals Jones: 15 kills, three digs, two aces, three blocks.
—Callee Taylor: one kill, 63 assists, two aces, nine digs.
—Ava Michaels: nine kills, nine digs.
—Bentlee Pahman: two assists, 31 digs.
—Chloe Melton: one ace, eight digs.
—Alana Maldonado: four kills, one dig, three blocks.
—Lindsey Brewer: three aces.

Class 1A

SPRING GARDEN: The Panthers swept their to a repeat regional title, beating Ider 25-9, 25-15, 25-12 and nemesis Addison 25-15, 25-10, 25-17 on Friday.

Spring Garden will take on the South Super Regional’s fourth qualifier Millry in the state tournament at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

Spring Garden’s top performers in Friday matches:

—Ace Austin: 46 kills, 24 digs, four blocks, two aces, one assist.
—Maggie Jarrett: 18 kills, 19 digs, three blocks, one ace.
—Avery Steward: 72 assists, six digs, one kill, one ace.
—Olivia Law: 11 kills, 11 digs, three blocks, one ace, one assist.
—Kristen Lewis: 20 digs, three aces.
—Montana Highfield: two kills, three aces, two assists, three digs, two blocks.
—Chloe Fennell: one block.

FAITH CHRISTIAN: The Lions fell to Addison 22-25, 24-26, 15-25 in the semifinals and Ider 25-13, 18-25, 13-25, 25-27 in the third-place match. Faith will play South Regional champion University Charter in the state tournament at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

—Anna Kate Robertson: 12 digs, 40 assists, three kills, two aces.
—Cheyanne Rice: one dig, nine kills, one block, two aces.
—Serenity Pate: 12 kills, three blocks.

—Emma Shaw: 10 digs, one kill, one ace.
