Alexander’s monster third quarter highlights Oxford’s victory. Sparks leads way in PV victory. Jacksonville, Alexandria, JCA victorious. Hess’ big night helps Alexandria girls hold off Ashville.

CARROLLTON, Ga. — Jaylen Alexander put on a show in the third quarter of Oxford’s 83-30 rout of Carrollton on Thursday.
Alexander 27 of the Yellow Jackets’ 36 points in the quarter, hitting seven of his nine 3-pointers on the night. He finished with a game-high 34 points.
He hit the other two threes in the first quarter.
Marcus Perry Jr. hit four threes on the way to 16 points. Oxford hit 15 threes overall.
PLEASANT VALLEY 90, WELLBORN 67: Hunter Sparks scored 20 of his game-high 33 points in the first half as the Raiders rolled to victory.
Braxton Salster scored 20 points. He and Sparks scored all of their points inside the three-point line or at the foul line.
Jaden Sparks hit three 3-pointers en route to 13 points, and Brody Barnwelll hit three threes en route to 12 points.
Wellborn’s Ollie Boot hit nine of 10 free throws on the way to a team-high 23 points. Jackson Clark added 11 points and Christian Williams 10.
JACKSONVILLE 61, WHITE PLAINS 55: Calvin Hill hit three 3-pointers on the way to a team-high 13 points, and Jacksonville won at White Plains.
The Golden Eagles got 11 points apiece from Kamouri Harmon and Aaron Nixon, and Zavier Moore added nine.
White Plains’ Ethan Turner led all scorers with 24 points, and Bryson Cheatwood chimed in with 20 points, including two 3-pointers.
ALEXANDRIA 74, ASHVILLE 60: Quendavion McDowell had 20 points and five rebounds as Alexandria improved to 2-0.
Cole Wheeler added 17 points with 13 rebounds, hitting three 3-pointers. Jaylen Henderson added 14 points, and Garrett Haynes hit two threes on the way to eight points.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 75, GSD 18: Jesse Gannaway scored 16 points with 16 rebounds, eight assists and five steals as the Thunder improved to 4-1.
Moses Averette also scored 16 points with seven rebounds, and JCA got 12 points, 20 rebounds and six assists from Noah Lee. Will Hudson scored 10 points.
Girls
ALEXANDRIA 51, ASHVILLE 45: Cali Hess poured in 22 points, and Alexandria won at home. She hit 10 of 15 shots from the field.
Landry Patterson hit all four of the Valley Cubs’ 3-pointers on the way to 13 points.
Maddie Sanders led Ashville with 15 points, and Talisha Samanieso added 13 points.
