Piedmont boys, girls sweep Etowah. Alexandria, Weaver, Cleburne County boys victorious. Saks, Jacksonville, Ranburne and Spring Garden girls win.

PIEDMONT — Rollie Pinto scored 20 points to lead Piedmont’s boys to a 62-59 victory over Etowah on Friday.
Ishmael Bethel added 16 points, and Taylon Swain scored eight.
Piedmont got two defensive stops down the stretch, and Colton Proctor hit one of two free throws in between them to provide the final margin.
Peyton Morrison led Etowah with 18 points on six 3-pointers. Jameson Scissum added 17 points and Jacob Turner 13.
WEAVER 63, WHITE PLAINS 51: KeShawn Allen led the Bearcats with 21 points, hitting seven of 10 shots from the field overall.
Harper Williams went 5-for-7 on the way to 14 points, and Kaden Gooden scored 12.
White Plains got 10 points from Bryson Cheatwood and nine apiece from William Graham, Caleb Lynch and Harmon Cobb.
ALEXANDRIA 69, SAKS 43: Alexandria got 12 points apiece from Jaylen Henderson, Cole Wheeler and M.J. Morris while improving to 3-0.
Henderson hit a team-high three of the Valley Cubs’ nine 3-pointers, and Morris also had a team-high five steals.
Caleb Fields added eight points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 43, RANDOLPH COUNTY 41: Lyric Ware and Noah Turley scored 13 points apiece to pace the Tigers, and Cavin Bates added eight.
Girls
PIEDMONT 54, ETOWAH 36: Amiyah Thomas led three Piedmont players in double figures as the Bulldogs picked up their first victory of the season.
Cayla Brothers and Jenna Duke scored 10 points apiece, and Melanie Studdard added nine.
Rudolph paced Etowah with nine points.
SAKS 53, ALEXANDRIA 41: All five Saks starters scored in double figures, led by Sania Angel with 13 points.
The Wildcats also got 10 points apiece from Madison Turner, Alonna Crews, Meorri English and
Jakailynn Carter. English and Carter hit two 3-pointers apiece.
RANBURNE 78, FAYETTEVILLE 13: Brylee Bailey led four Ranburne players in double figures with 14 points, scoring all of her points in the first quarter. The Bulldogs got 12 apiece from Libby Mitchell and Kallie Burson, and Tinley Phillips hit three 3-pointers on the way to 11 points.
JACKSONVILLE 75, ASHVILLE 31: Jacksonville’s Jayci Taylor scored a team-high 17 points.
Alexis Phillips added 15 points to go with a team-high seven assists, five rebounds and five steals. DeAsia Prothro had 13 points with six rebounds and a team-high four blocks, and Ontarriah Braxton’s nine points came with nine rebounds and a team-high seven steals.
Ke’Asiah Williams had a team-high 10 rebounds to go with six points.
SPRING GARDEN 78, JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 24: Maggie Jarrett poured in a team-high 27 points to go with eight rebounds for Spring Garden.
Ace Austin added 17 points to go with 10 assists, seven steals and six rebounds, and Montana Highfield’s 11 points came with 11 rebounds.
Avery Steward chipped in nine points.
